Yea!!!! Back to my Snark habit!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Skeletones Four and Asa....both charming in very different ways.
ReplyDelete....oh....and....without the Snark I really wouldn't know about the wonder that is U-J3RK5!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Mr. Herman.
ReplyDeleteJust drifting aimlessly along without your big ears to steer by...
You know Naum Gabo and U-J3RK5 Work For Police, right? Do you remember that the 5 is silent? Best Vancouver band ever.
Best Vancouver Band? That's not saying much. For a city that size, really not a lot of great music...UJ3RK5, D.O.A., Twilight Circus....who am I forgetting...
ReplyDeleteYou are tough on the west coast Lotusland! I was just talkin' through my hat, but I do see your point.
ReplyDeleteZonk says Subhumans. I could mention Five Alarm Funk.
I guess Vancouverians got better things to do than make great music... this is a very short list.
(And I don't like any DOA songs...)
Doug's list of honourable mentions includes Pointed Sticks, Dishrags, and the Young Canadians, among others with whom I won't trouble you.
ReplyDeleteHe's also long been crazy about a band called Cub.
