Thanks for listening!

I blanked on Maurice and Mac this afternoon. Maurice McAlister and McLauren Green jumped ship from The Radiants, a Chicago group, to record as a duo for Checkers from 1967 to 1970. They are great and so is their song! I only have the one ("You Left The Water Running") so far;
I'm looking for more.
McLauren Green & Maurice McAlister

  1. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

    Great to hear you again, Snark! What a great show! I listened to it twice.

    Highlights include:

    Wanda Jackson!!!!!- Wow! Really liked this. I wasn't at all interested in checking this out cuz I'm not too enamored with Jack White, but its a great version..... great production props to the producer.

    Suns Of Arqa!!! This points directly to Jah Wobble’s Invaders of the Heart a year or two later, no?
    What a find!

    Other notables:

    Gof4...New drummer, but the first song starts with the attempt to create a "drum riff", like Hugo usedta do. Different sounding vocals, but its quite likable as long as yer not expecting the kinetic/frenetic Gang of the past

    Marva Whitney & Osaka Monaurail - legit sound and song!...Does not suffer from modern "funk" productionitis

    Creation Rebel/New Age Steppers (I wanna play that song)

    Kiran Ahluwalia (kind of a cover, no? Interested in hearing more)

    Great album title, Mogwai....they’ve fallen off the radar for me, but I liked this track

    Thank you Snark!
