HaHaHa!
ReplyDeleteGreat video of ASherwood!
He's actually playing "live".
Only geeks like us would get a kick out of this as much as others watching some "wicked" guitar solo.
Thanks.
Thanks also for the BUCOVINA by Shantel. I haven't heard this before.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't done previously by Adrian Sherwood....the tune was popularized by Sabres of Paradise in "Wilmot" in 1994 (offically one of my two fave songs of that decade).
btw..."Wilmot" was apparently based on a song from the '40s (I think) by some Carribean
ex-pat "prominent calypsonian" named Wilmoth Houdini.
I'd love to hear that!
Oh right! Sabres of Paradise! I couldn't remember where I'd heard it before and I just assumed it was Sherwood. I've been clicking through everything by AMS since hearing BUCOVINA, hoping to find it.
ReplyDeleteI'll play Wilmoth Houdini's calypso version next week.
Thanks for resolving this musical conundrum, PW. Much obliged.
